Dr. Oliver Terna Iorhemen joined the University of Northern British Columbia as an Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering on August 1, 2021. He obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering specialisation) from the University of Calgary, AB. He also received his MSc (Eng) in Environmental Engineering and Project Management from the University of Leeds, UK and B.Eng in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria.
Dr. Iorhemen’s research interests include biological wastewater treatment, wastewater reclamation and reuse, rural water supply and sanitation, nutrients removal, removal of contaminants of emerging concern, and resource recovery from wastewater, biosolids, and organic waste. Dr. Iorhemen has participated in both university – municipality and university – industry collaborative research as well as multi-university research projects projects.
